Merda-testa

Short and squat with a cute smushed face
like she caught the car during the chase.
An imaginary tail wags in the air
she can romp and play without a care.

Merda-testa by thy name
We may not be one and the same
But you still include us in your game

She has no clue about life's oblivion,
but when she plays she's wiser than anyone.
She may not know her days wont last her
but she lives them fuller than her masters.

Merda-testa by thy name
your mortality is brief but you don't complain
you pass your days without blame

They scoff and mock her innocent mind
as they trudge through their daily grind
They dimiss her with hardly a glance
then wish they could give her life a chance

Merda-testa by thy name
You laugh as we live life in vain
How do you ignore the pain?
